JOE - Java oriented edting 2.3.25 (1.3 MB)

JOE ist ein Freeware-Editor, der sich besonders zum Editieren von Java Quellcode eignet. Besonderes Augenmerk wurde bei der Entwicklung auf die Unterstützung des JDK von SUN gelegt. So läßt sich beispielsweise der Java Code direkt aus JOE heraus compilieren und starten. Zukünftige Versionen von JOE werden auch die Möglichlkeit bieten, direkt in JOE zu debuggen und alle anderen Tools des JDK aufzurufen (javadoc usw.). Zur Erleichterung der Tipparbeit besteht die Möglichkeit Textblöcke zu definieren, die dann per Shortcut in den Quellcode übernommen werden können. So lassen sich beispielsweise alle wichtigen Schlüsselwörter einfach mit einem Shortcut in den Code übernehmen. Lästige Tipparbeit entfällt hier komplett.
