LAN-Mail allows you to send messages over a small network of up to four computers. Its a simple mail program (SMP) written in Tcl/Tk. You just need to install it on all of the networked computers and share its directories. Select your recipient from a list, type in a subject and your message, and click Send. LAN-Mail then sends your message through the network. The program supports printing, adds a Network Status dialog showing the status of all networked users, and allows you to send a message to all users. This version now uses TCP/IP connections and can communicate with an unlimitied number of users via the new Address Book feature. It now supports the French language and has a Help file.
