Kleines Programm um Bilddatein in Text (ascii) umzuwandeln. Unterstützt als Ausgangsmaterial werden unter anderem BMP, JPG, PNG, und TIF. Der verwendete Zeichensatz sowie Zeilen und Spaltenanzahl kann frei definiert werden. Eine Ausgabe in html wird unterstützt. Zusätzlich können bei der html-Ausgabe im Hintergrund die Farben des Originalbildes angezeigt werden.

ascii-pixelhaufen 2008 unterstützt ein umfangreiches frei definierbares Alphabet auch für die html-Ausgabe. Die integrierten Bildbearbeitungsfunktionen sind speziell für die Konvertierung in ascii-art optimiert. Mit der einzigartigen html-Hintergrundbildausgabe wird das Anzeigen von Bildern im Netz neu definiert.
